Baby Acne? Teary eyes? This Worked For Me!

My baby was born with those tiny little white dots on his cheek and I thought they would go away within days. Well it didn't, it only got worse and I could not stand seeing my newborn's cheeks so red and sore.

So, as every mommy sure does, I searched for an answer online. I looked on mommies' blogs and message boards, and most of them would say something like: There's not much you can do but wait, it will clear up by itself. But one mommy had the right answer - for me at least - Chamomile Tea!. Tea is a natural astringent and that's what you want to use on your baby's brand new skin!

Bigelow Cozy Chamomile Herbal Tea, 20-Count Boxes (Pack of 6)
Tea is a natural astringent.
I prepared a bag of chamomile tea every other night and put it in the fridge. I would soak a cotton ball in the cold tea and pat his cheeks at least 4 times daily. Miracle! The acne was gone for good within a week. It is important to prepare a new tea bag every other day because it goes bad, even in the fridge.

As an "added bonus" it helped me refresh -not cure- my baby's eye. He was born with a clogged tear duct and the chamomile compress would soothe his eye and relieve the redness.

It's worth trying, you could never go wrong with natural and organic treatments.
